Walking Uphill on Skis
Walking up a slope in your skis needs a bit of coordination. You can slide them along the snow, like a shuffle. But this only works on a flat slope. If you're walking uphill on skis, you can side-step up the slope. Or you can slide them along in a shuffle, but they need to be in a V shape.
Side-stepping You can side step. Literally sideways kind of like a crab.
Making a 'V' You can walk up in a 'V' shape. The back or tails of your skis are close together. The front or tips are far apart.
What's Next Check out Getting Up for when you fall or move on to Beginner Ski Instruction for making a wedge, starting to turn and more.
